Yi-Jen Su is an Electronic Design Automation (EDA) expert with over 30 years of experience in developing cutting-edge design tools and solutions for the semiconductor industry. His career began at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), where he co-developed a logic and fault simulator that laid the foundation for his future contributions to EDA technology.

He later served as CAD Manager at Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS), where he built advanced EDA design flows and introduced state-of-the-art tools to enhance efficiency and quality. At E-Team/SpringSoft, he played a pivotal role as Product Manager of Verdi, one of the industry’s most widely adopted HDL debugging tools.

As the Co-founder, Chairman, and CEO of AnaGlobe Technology, Yi-Jen Su has been at the forefront of EDA innovation for more than a decade. AnaGlobe’s tools are trusted by global semiconductor leaders, including MediaTek, TSMC, NVIDIA, ASE, and SK hynix.

Yi-Jen Su joined Pulsaris AI in February 2025 and served as Chief Operating Officer & General Manager.

Abstract of Presentation

Although Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools were introduced as early as the 1970s, the integration of AI did not begin until the 2020s, and even then, only in a limited number of tools. Compared to other industries, this adoption has been markedly slow. Over the past several decades, the core methodologies underlying EDA have remained largely unchanged, relying heavily on traditional heuristic and algorithmic approaches.

Pulsaris AI was founded with the mission to break through this bottleneck. Our approach involves an in-depth analysis of traditional EDA methodologies to identify opportunities where AI can replace conventional heuristic and algorithmic techniques. By leveraging advanced AI models, we aim to deliver results beyond what legacy tools can achieve.

By the end of 2025, Pulsaris AI will launch the first product: an AI layout optimizer that can optimize the layout generated by the APR tools.
