Ms. Janée Pierre-Louis

Janée Pierre-Louis is the Senior Commercial Officer at the American Institute in Taiwan (Taipei). She has held a range of leadership roles, including Senior Commercial Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Amman, Jordan, and Deputy Senior Commercial Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa, Canada. 

Her experience with the U.S. Commercial Service also includes assignments in Paris, Kaohsiung, and Baltimore. Ms. Pierre-Louis began her public service career in 2002 at the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she focused on China’s WTO compliance and led small business outreach efforts, while concurrently serving as the Mongolia Desk Officer. 

Earlier in her career, Ms. Pierre-Louis worked in the private sector in both Taipei and Washington, DC. She holds a M.S. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and a B.A. in International Business from Washington University in St. Louis. She is married to a U.S. Department of State Foreign Service Officer, and they have three children.
