Total 18 years in semiconductor product engineering, and yield management applications engineering in tsmc, UMC, and Synopsys. Thomas is leading a team in Synopsys TPG, HAT (HW Analytics & Test) for customer facing Applications Engineering in Asia Pacific region, for SLM (Silicon Lifecycle Management) Analytics products including Silicon.da, SiliconDash, Yield Explorer, and Avalon/SysNav. He has several years’ experience of Yield Explorer Applications Engineering in Synopsys to succeed to accelerate new product ramp for advanced technology nodes with using Yield Learning platform for major semiconductor foundries and fabless customers and with expertise in Logic/Embedded Memory Volume Diagnostics analysis. Thomas was recognized by General Manger as Outstanding Contribution to Results Delivery in 2020. Before he joined Synopsys, he has 5-year experience as manager in Product Engineering Division at UMC in charge of entire development and rapid production ramp-up of newly engaged 14nm/28nm chip NPI for yield breakthrough and with familiarity with EFA/PFA, Chip Characterization analysis and Semiconductor Process. Thomas earned a master’s degree in Electronics Engineering at National Tsing Hua University Institute, Taiwan in 2008 and graduated at the top of the class.
