Dr. Ping Yeh

Ping is a software engineering manager in Google's Quantum AI organization, responsible for the software systems used in fabricating the quantum chips and the data systems throughout the chip lifetime to facilitate performance improvements. Before Quantum AI, Ping has worked on Google products like search, ads, and personalized home page. Ping obtained a Ph.D. in physics from National Taiwan University for his work on the mass of top quark, and has worked on various high energy experiments in his academia career before Google. He has been fascinated by the cross-pollination of physics and computing, and was a promoter of grid computing and cloud computing in Taiwan in the 2000s. His latest passion is quantum computing, which combines physics and computing in a novel way.
