Mr. Hidenori Sato, Vice President & General Partner, TEL Venture Capital, Inc.
Hidenori Sato joined Tokyo Electron in 1992 as an Etch Process Engineer. Since then, he has supported various customers in the U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Italy, and other regions before, and later serving as a process manager for the U.S. market. He has played a significant role in the elemental development of etching equipment and process technology, acquiring extensive knowledge in both the process and hardware domains. Beyond Etcher technology, he has also contributed to marketing efforts for 3D integration, packaging, further deepening his understanding of semiconductor device technology and integration across both front-end and back-end processes. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Chemistry at Sophia University.

Abstract:
TEL Venture Capital invests in innovative technologies that have synergy with Tokyo Electron and works with portfolio companies through supporting development of technologies and products, striving to create new businesses at both companies. We consider portfolio companies as partners and focus on approaches that lead to joint development or collaborative business to materialize the win-win relationships. In this presentation, we would like to introduce a couple of examples for strategic partnership and highlight how we support startups within its ecosystem.
