IR Vision
IR Vision originated from the Graduate Institute of Applied Science at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. The company specializes in the research, development, and commercialization of optoelectronic semiconductor devices and infrared (IR) sensing technologies. We are committed to developing high-performance infrared photodetectors that overcome the performance, size, and cost limitations of conventional infrared sensing technologies under room temperature operation.
Our first-generation InAs-based IR photodetector is the first in the world to simultaneously offer high sensitivity, broadband detection, low power consumption, and low cost. It delivers up to four times the performance of a comparable industry-standard product from a Japanese manufacturer, at only half the price.
Technology Highlights
- Groundbreaking IR Sensing Technology: Proprietary QPD technology delivers intrinsic photodetector gain without external bias, providing several times higher sensitivity than conventional photodiodes.
- Room-Temperature Operation: Enables high-sensitivity IR detection without cooling, supporting compact, lightweight, low-power, and cost-effective systems.
- Ultra-Broadband Spectral Response: World's first sensor to detect visible, NIR, SWIR, and MWIR light across a 400–3,500 nm spectral range.
- Exceptional Price-to-Performance Ratio: Simple device architecture reduces manufacturing costs while delivering high-performance IR detection.
- Compact, Lightweight & Energy-Efficient Design: Ideal for applications with size, weight, power, and cost constraints.
