Dr. Pei-Lin Pai

Dr. Pei Lin Pai is a seasoned technology leader with an extensive career spanning semiconductor R&D, marketing, sales, and executive leadership. He holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley. Since 2023, he has served as CTO of Winbond Electronics, driving emerging memory technologies and university partnerships in advanced fields such as quantum computing, CIM, robotics, and AI applications. Previously, as Winbond’s VP of Technology Development, he oversaw the successful development and mass production of multiple generations of DRAM, NOR/SLC NAND, and ReRAM technologies. His earlier roles include VP positions at FocalTech and Nanya Technology, where he led global sales, marketing, legal strategy, and investor relations. Dr. Pai also founded Ascend Semiconductor (Taiwan) and Omega Micro (San Jose, CA), contributing to DRAM design, EDA tools, and IC development. His early engineering career at Cypress and Intel established his expertise in semiconductor processing, yield improvement, and copper interconnect technologies.
