Ms. Helen Chiang

Research Vice President, International Data Corporation

Helen Chiang is Research Vice President within IDC’s enterprise infrastructure global research domain, part of the computing systems, platforms, and technologies subdomain. She leads IDC’s semiconductor ecosystem and supply chain intelligence programs and serves as a general manager for IDC Taiwan and as the semiconductor research lead for Asia/Pacific. She is responsible for analyzing, forecasting, and researching the Asia Pacific semiconductor ecosystem and the China semiconductor supply chain, which includes IC design, OSAT, equipment, and materials. In addition, she conducts consulting projects on semiconductors, cloud, AI, IoT, security, and emerging technologies, providing clients with forward-looking insights into technology adoption, supply chain dynamics, and competitive positioning.

BACKGROUND

Previously, Helen spent more than 20 years in the technology industry. Prior to joining IDC, she worked in strategy and market intelligence at Inventec Corporation. Helen has also worked at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) as a China communications market researcher, and at the Institute for Information Industry (III) as a technology research and consulting services advisor. Prior to that, she was an analyst at Taiwan Securities. 

EDUCATION/INDUSTRY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Master's degree in Telecommunication from the National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan.
