Jiwon Yune

Jiwon Yune is the Founder and CEO of SDT Inc., a premier quantum technology company that has successfully developed South Korea's first commercial full-stack quantum computer. From an early interest in the natural sciences, Jiwon began his quantum journey at MIT, conducting research across diverse quantum computing platforms while pursuing degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering. After contributing to quantum technology development at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), he founded SDT in 2017. His vision was to build the company he believed the industry needed—one capable of turning South Korea's world-class manufacturing strength into a decisive advantage the global quantum industry had been missing. Today, Jiwon leads SDT in pioneering the global quantum ecosystem through its innovative Quantum Design and Manufacturing (QDM) model. Under his leadership, SDT delivers custom-tailored, ultra-precise hardware infrastructure that integrates seamlessly with existing HPC environments. By bringing measurement and control electronics, cryogenic machinery, and advanced machining under one roof, he is dedicated to removing the bottlenecks between groundbreaking quantum research and real-world industrial deployment.
