Dr. Hung-Shan Chen is the Founder and General Manager of Liqxtal Technology Inc., a subsidiary of Himax Technologies. He is dedicated to advancing the commercialization of integrated optoelectronic and semiconductor technologies. He has led the development of multiple advanced solutions, including Liqxtal® Graph, a display platform based on a patented reflective TFT liquid crystal architecture that presents full-color digital content on lens surfaces while maintaining clear see-through visibility. His team also pioneered the world's first reflowable electro-optic liquid crystal component, enabling the miniaturization of structured-light 3D sensing modules.

Based on this strong foundation, the team has expanded into UAV optical payload technologies in recent years, building core capabilities across multi-spectral sensing, image stabilization, and edge AI processing. Leveraging strong expertise in optoelectronics and intelligent imaging systems, Dr. Chen drives the development of next-generation adaptive optics and intelligent payloads, enabling scalable, high-efficiency solutions for unmanned systems and advanced sensing applications.
