SEMICON Taiwan 2026 Opening Keynote: The Physics of Thought & Architecture of Intelligence
Where the Industrial Revolution gave people and society machines to multiply our physical strength, AI will do the same for the human mind. Making intelligence cheaper will create all new use cases that are unimagined today. In turn, this will increase demand and make accessible breakthroughs in science, medicine, and learning. The cycle continues with ever more demand for efficiency and scale improvements. This future requires a rethink of the computing architecture that will power it, from power delivery, to specialized silicon development, to high-speed interconnects, to software orchestration and more. In this talk, Amin Vahdat will dive into what it will take to build this infrastructure, tackling the hardware, energy, and systems challenges behind the architecture that will power abundant reasoning and agentic computing.
