CHRISTINE MCGUINESS is the Head of Marketing for the Electronics and Industrial markets Syensqo Specialty Polymers Global Business Unit, based in Alpharetta, Georgia, USA where she leads the business strategy and growth programs for Specialty Polymers in the Semiconductor, Electronics, Energy and Industrial markets.
Since joining the Solvay group in 2014, she has held leadership positions in research, innovation and new application initiatives, mainly in semiconductors and electronics. She was also responsible for building and growing new partnerships with Stanford, other West Coast Universities and local start ups.
Christine earned a PhD in Chemistry from The Pennsylvania State University focused on soft thin films and semiconductor surfaces and was a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University. Prior to joining Solvay she was a technical leader at Plextronics, a startup spun out of Carnegie Mellon focused on conductive polymer materials.
